The European Commission has launched ‘Innovative Materials for Europe’ (IAM4EU), a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) under Horizon Europe for 2025-2027. This initiative aims to enhance the innovation of advanced materials, covering production, processes, and sustainability. It involves experts from both public and private sectors, supporting Europe’s transition to green and digital technologies.
IAM4EU will strategically collaborate on advanced materials research within Horizon Europe, including projects like IRISS. Entities such as AMI2030 and the 2D Materials Initiative (2DMI) have been instrumental in shaping IAM4EU, pushing forward material research and innovation in Europe.
IAM4EU aims to place advanced materials at the forefront of innovation, supporting Europe’s industrial sectors in their green and digital transformations.
