Esther van den Beuken is Market Manager and Principal Consultant in the field of Sustainable Materials and conversion of feedstock at TNO (a research institute in the Netherlands) in the unit Energy and Material Transitions. She has more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of public-private innovation and social themes.
She is a national and international leader in the field of Circular Carbon through her roles as a board member of the Circular Plastics NL growth fund (€450 million), initiator of the National Science Agenda Circular Economy route and as a former core member of the Circular Economy Knowledge and Innovation Agenda ( KIA CE). She participates in the Dutch Circular Carbon sounding board group, Plastics Netherlands Transition Team, Circular Plastics Alliance, Plastic Pact NL/EU, SPIRE and ECP4 and Suschem NL.
Esther studied chemistry and obtained her PhD in organic chemistry at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in the group of Nobel Prize winner Prof. B.L. Feringa.
