Share

Each year, the European Federation of Chemical Engineers (EFCE, efce.info) promotes several activities in cooperation with its scientific groups and Member Societies. The themes are as diverse as the field of Chemical Engineering, covering energy, industrial processes, environment and safety, product design and engineering, etc. Its 24 scientific groups are the core of the activity with academic and industrial membership from across Europe and beyond. The composition of the EFEC working parties and sections is outlined below:

EFCE Working Parties: Agglomeration, Characterisation of Particulate Systems, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Comminution and Classification, Computer Aided Process Engineering, Crystallization, Drying, Education, Electrochemical Engineering, Fluid Separations, High Pressure Technology, Loss Prevention and Safety Promotion, Mechanics of Particulate Solids,  Mixing, Multiphase Fluid Flow, Polymer Reaction Engineering, Process Intensification, Quality by Design, Static Electricity in Industry, Thermodynamics and Transport Properties.

EFCE Sections: Energy, Food, Membrane Engineering, Product Design and Engineering.

In 2021, the highlight will be the ECCE13 & ECAB6 European Conference on Chemical Engineering jointly with the European Conference on Applied Biotechnology.  It will be held online from 20-23 September 2021, on the theme ‘Engineering the Future’.
